You’ll notice a spiffy new theme around here. I figured as long as I had to upgrade Wordpress and de-hack my site, now was as good a time as any to add a new theme. I added my own touches to this theme, which I love. Probably one of the main features you’ll notice, at least it was the main feature my brother noticed, is the ads. Personally, I like the ads and hope that my readers will occasionally click on them if they see an ad that interests them. My brother says that the ads are annoying to him, but I’m not willing to get rid of them, just because he says so.
I had some trouble choosing the font for my site’s title. I couldn’t decide between minimalism and graffiti, but as you can see, I ultimately went with graffiti. What do you think? My brother and Manchester both hate the new theme period. Manchester says this theme is not femenine enough, and my brother says that this theme looks like a cookie cutter theme with bad colors. He says he doesn’t like orange. I love orange. I told Manchester that I want the next car I get to be orange, and he thinks I’m nuts. Anyway, if you have font suggestions or other suggestions, let me know.

Going without lights and other appliances for one hour at night is more difficult than you’d think. From 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. last night I turned off my lights, turned off my computer (which was the hardest part), and I even turned off my air conditioner. I lit candles and incense and meditated and then played with my cat, who had a great time trying to pounce on the shadows on the wall created by the candlelight. Being without modern electrical conveniences for an hour reminded me how lucky we are to have such conveniences.

This is sooooo unbelieveable. I was using an old version of WordPress, and then I renewed my hosting and domain. Turns out my lack of CSS wasn’t Dreamhost’s fault at all. I had talked to my brother who is the greatest computer genius that I know, and he said it looked like my header wasn’t loading. So today I checked out the header and noticed that it was filled with garbage about getting drugs without prescriptions, credit card offers, debt solutions, and male sexual enhancers. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Blawgalicious was hacked. I am hoping that this was a WordPress vulnerability that will not be a problem anymore since I upgraded to the latest version.
So I called Manchester to tell him my site got hacked. He laughed because he couldn’t believe my site was “important enough” to get hacked. Lol.
We’re back in business.

Today I drove to two Asian stores, one in Kendall, one in North Miami Beach, and I bought malas, incense sticks and cones, rose scented oil, a bell, and seven bowls. Tonight I put a table runner that my boyfriend bought for me across two bookshelves. I placed a buddha candle holder statue in the center, with the seven offering bowls and offerings in front. To either side of the bowls are the prayer beads and incense. The basics are done, but there are a few finishing touches I want to add before I take a picture.
